Why Choose YZ’s Polyurethane (PU) Sandwich Panel Machine Line

Our production line is primarily used for the continuous production of sandwich panels with soft surface materials on the top and bottom layers and a polyurethane core in the middle. The products produced by this line are primarily composite panels used for thermal insulation and cold storage in applications such as exterior walls, food storage warehouses, and air ducts for central air conditioning systems.

Polyurethane rock wool composite panels have characteristics such as thermal insulation, fire resistance, and lightweight properties. In recent years, the market demand for these panels has been steadily increasing, and the original production lines have become increasingly inadequate to meet the growing production needs. This necessitates improvements in production technology to make polyurethane production lines more efficient and convenient. This article introduces the key sections of the composite panel production line and several important technical upgrades.

Increased Automation

The entire machine adopts a fully integrated control system developed in-house, utilizing CNC servo control, variable frequency vector drives, and hydraulic controls. Each unit machine is interconnected and managed centrally, with automatic length adjustment and random cutting. This ensures that each functional unit of the production line operates at a consistent speed, allowing for fully automated production.

High-Quality Imported Rollers

The rollers of the profiling machine are made from high-quality Cr12MoV steel, precision-machined via CNC, and surface-treated with hard chrome plating. This results in a high surface hardness and excellent finish on the rollers, ensuring that the formed panels are of high quality without damaging the paint surface. The roller shafts are made from high-quality 42CrMoV steel, tempered to a (26-30HRC) hardness, providing excellent overall structural performance, which ensures stable, flat, and normal panel forming.

Double Conveyor Belt System

The double conveyor belt temperature control system uses hot air circulation for heating. The circulating air is heated through a heating device and then sent into the heating air duct by a fan. This heats the upper and lower conveyor belt panels as they advance at a constant speed. The conveyor belt panels, in turn, heat the composite panels, making the polyurethane foam more stable during foaming and curing and improving the adhesion between the foam and the panel surface. This reduces foam blemishes and bubbles to some extent.

Conveyor Machine Improvements

The upper and lower conveyor belt panels are composed of a set of chain plates approximately 200 mm wide, driven by a variable frequency motor through a gear reduction box, with automatic speed adjustment to ensure synchronized movement of the upper and lower belts. The position of the lower belt is fixed, while the upper belt can be adjusted in height by an electronically controlled hydraulic jack, ensuring consistent composite panel thickness. The frame, chain plates, and other components of the conveyor machine are processed using a large-scale gantry machining center, ensuring a flatness error of less than 0.03 mm after installation. These chain plates are connected with wear-resistant bearings, forming a high-strength chain-driven system with high precision and excellent quality.
